Summary

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

Provides work direction to other employees, and resolves problems or dispute within the activity. Performs and/or assists in the operation of the recreation activity. Monitors operations of assigned area, normally during absence of the manager and normally on nights and weekends. Responsible for security of funds, building, and assets. Prepares reports of significant occurrences during the shift. Assures patrons satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer issues.

Assists in ordering, receiving, and tracking inventory of supplies. Scheduling initial training, and continuing instruction and efficient utilization of all personnel within the activity. Responsible for overall control of assigned area. Assists in maintaining all activity records and files such as daily preparation of accounting records; operational and inventory reports or others reports as needed. May operate cash register. Ensures adequate maintenance, sanitation, and cleanliness of the facility and its equipment. Required to update/change the marketing materials. Must maintain sign in rosters, Rec Trac system, and activity patron count.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year of experience in responsible sales and/or recreational services or equivalent leadership experience is required.
  • Skill to demonstrate activities and use of related facility equipment.
  • Skill to learn applicable MCCS policies and procedures.
  • This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
